The Lightning still have a boatload of players on their roster, so it's expected that there are going to be a lot of cuts coming to the team today or tomorrow. The first ones have come out via two of the players' own twitter this morning:

• Cory Conacher is going to Norfolk
• Tyler Johnson is going to Norfolk
• And from a Thursday press release, center Vladislav Namestnikov was sent back to the London Knights of the OHL

I'll update this list later if we get any more players that are cut today. The one I am keeping my eye out for, Brett Connolly, is still with the team and he tweeted that he'll be in Montreal tomorrow. Fingers crossed for him.

As for waivers, these are the Lightning players on waivers today (via TSN):

The deadline for claiming these players is 12pm Tuesday Sept 27th

Via press release from the Lightning, the team has cut 27 players leaving 26 players on the roster. 15 forwards, 9 defencemen and 2 goaltenders make up the 26 remaining players
