Last game of the roadtrip, the Lightning are in Miami to face the Florida Panthers for their home opener. In a press release issued by the Panthers on Wednesday (which includes spelling mistakes), the Panthers are set to unveil a "revamped game experience" tonight.
No this does not mean that the fans will get to see a new team, rather some new in-game experiences like an opening video, ice dancers, updated music and sound systems among things. I'm shocked that they didn't have an opening video before so I guess it's nice that they do now. But the big part of the press release is that they are going to attempt a "blue out" with fans encouraged to wear blue to match the team's third jerseys.
So the Lightning have *gasp* won three game in a row. Still a bit shocking right now. The Panthers on the other hand are returning from a roadtrip to Western Canada where they return with a record of 1 win and 2 losses. Their one win came over a Calgary team that whose offence is as lethal as those gummi bears I'm going to devour after lunch but the Panthers did play better than their record states.

This is the first of six games we'll play against our state rivals. The Lightning come into it with an unbeaten streak and look to make it four. Stamkos has scored in each of the three games that we've played.
Not much more to say here...but can we make it four in a row like the Leafs? Sounds weird typing that....can't imagine how weird it is to read it.
- Dan Ellis will get the start in goal
- Ohlund still out with a knee injury
